Dancers
I try to do sketches that tell stories, with a minimal use of line. Dancers are wonderful subjects for sketching. They have a way to move that shows beauty, even when they are relaxing. The dancer's uses his body as a canvas, drawing in every movement.

These dancers are fabulous too (as previous post). The ladies in the 2nd pic are my favourite with their straight legs but perfectly rounded backs.
ReplyDeleteHi @Sue ! Sketching in the Ballet was a sketchers dream! and a really difficult task too. But it is full of beautiful subjects, it is difficult to judge when is the right moment to start drawing, you have to guess if the dancers are going to move or not. They tend to come back to same positions, so sometimes I wait patiently as a hunter to finish the sketch.
