Cafe Einstein

I went to the Cafe Einstein for the first time the other day. I ws inmediately fascinated by the light and atmosphere of the place. So I did a sketch. 

Later at home I decided to use it as a reference for a bigger watercolor. (36 x 48 cm) By the way the painting is for sale.

BER Berlin Brandenburg Airport

Wie man weiß, das neue Flughafen wird nicht rechtzeitig fertig sein, aber am Wochenende gab es einen Familien Tag dort. Man konnte das Flughafen Gelände besuchen.

As you might know the new Airport won't be readdy on schedule but there was a family day there on the weekend. People could visit the Airport field.

Ich wurde fotografiert, als ich das skizziert habe.

I got a picture while doing this sketch.

Es gab viele Aktivitäten und Spiele, um Flugtickets zu gewinnen.

There were many activities and a lot of drafs to win free tickets.

Für mich das Interessante war das Blick auf die Gates.

For me the highlight was the view of the gates.

Schade das man das Terminal Gebäude nicht besuchen konnte.

I was disappointed that the Terminal Building was not open to the public.

Pecha Kucha Night Berlin

My Neighborhood


I live close to the Station Schlesisches Tor (Image bellow), what is known as the Wrangler Kiez. Not far is Görlitzer Park . The Streets are full of Grafities, many Cafes and Turk-owned stores. I feel very inspired here.

Ich wohne nicht weit von der U-bahn Schlesiches Tor (Oben), was man als den Wrangler Kiez kennt. Es ist nicht weit von der Görlitzer Park. Die Strasen sind von mit Grafities, viele Cafes und turkische Läden. Ich fühle mich sehr inspiriert hier.

Elegant Lady at Neukölln Cafe

It was a sunny Saturday and I went out drawing. First I went to the Markthalle IX in Kreuzberg.

Later I met Catalina for sketching and we walked along the Maibach-Ufer looking for things to draw. We stopped at the Paul-Lincke;Ufer where there are some areas for Boule. We sat on a wall and made some drawings of the people and things arround us.

A bicycle claimed my attention.

and finally we arrived at the Cafe Blue Cat.They have a great coffee and wonderful tarts and cakes.  An elegant lady caught my attention. Neukölln is becomming very fancy.

New Sketcher Magazine from Spain

The Spanish Urban Sketchers have done a wonderful Magazine about Sketching. The first Issue is about Malaga. Congratulations to all my sketchers friends for this great job! I have the joy to meet many of them last Sommer during the Urban Sketchers Symposium in Lisbon. On my way back to Germany I also visited Inma Serrano in Sevilla, Alvaro Carnicero in Cordova and Luis Ruiz in Malaga. We have a great time and drew many sketches. You can see one of my sketches on page 11.

Die Spanische Urban Sketchers haben eine wunderschöne Online-Magazine herausgegeben. Die erste Nummer hat Malaga als Hauptthema. Ich gratuliere alle meine Sketcher Freunde aus Spanien für diese schöne Arbeit. Letzte Sommer bei den Urban Sketchers Symposium in Lissabon hatte ich  die Freude viele von denen kennengelernt. Wir haben zusammen gezeichnet. Später bei meiner Rückreise nach Deutschland habe ich Inma Serrano in Sevilla, Alvaro Carnicero in Cordova und Luis Ruiz in Malaga besucht und wie immer viele Zeichnungen gemacht!
